Kia ora Stephen, thank you for sharing your 'Labeling the Spoonbill' slide on your blog. You have done a great job of labeling the different parts of a spoonbill and giving an explanation about how they help it. I see that there feet are large to help them walk over squishy mud. It definitely would be harder with small feet on a big bird. I know that the spoonbill gets its name from the shape of its beak, but do you know why they are shaped like that? Perhaps this is something you could add to your labeled diagram.
